William specializes in international tax consulting and compliance services. He has over 17 years of experience serving clients in a wide range of industries including private equity, real estate, technology, entertainment, and manufacturing. He has extensive experience with inbound and outbound international tax issues for domestic and foreign individuals, corporations and partnerships.
William has provided tax planning and compliance services to his clients doing business abroad and has assisted with restructuring their investments and with their compliance needs related to these investments. William also has extensive experience helping foreign private equity clients with setting up fund structures for the acquisition and disposition of U.S. real estate investments. He is also knowledgeable in a wide variety of international tax planning and compliance issues including subpart F, foreign tax credits, tax treaty analysis, PFIC planning and FATCA implementation.
Prior to starting his own practice, William was a Tax Principal in the International Tax practice at Holthouse Carlin & Van Trigt, LLP (HCVT LLP), the largest CPA firm headquartered in Southern California. William started his public accounting career with HCVT in 2007 and was also part of the Federal Tax Services group prior to joining the international tax group. In this group, he worked on high net worth individual, restaurants, real estate and private equity clients.
William is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of California (CPA #123772) and has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of California Riverside.
